Kondisi ini sering memunculkan fenomena yang disebut <em>time-dependent plasticity<\/em> atau deformasi plastis yang bergantung pada waktu. Jika tidak dipahami dengan baik, material bisa mengalami kegagala. Fenomena ini biasanya dipelajari dengan spesimen berukuran besar, namun perkembangan teknologi memungkinkan pengujian dilakukan hingga skala mikro, bahkan pada level butiran kristal tunggal.<\/p>\r\n<p>Salah satu teknik yang kini banyak digunakan adalah <strong>uji micropillar dengan nanoindenter di dalam SEM<\/strong>. Dengan metode ini, pilar-pilar kecil berdiameter hanya sekitar 5 mikron dan tinggi 10 mikron dibentuk menggunakan Focused Ion Beam (FIB), lalu ditekan secara terkendali dengan ujung intan datar <em>(diamond flat punch tip)<\/em>. Keunggulan pengujian ini adalah pengamatan <em>in-situ<\/em> di dalam SEM, sehingga setiap perubahan bentuk, mulai dari munculnya <em>slip steps<\/em> hingga pecahnya oksida di permukaan bisa dilihat secara langsung sambil merekam data mekaniknya.<\/p>\r\n<p>Dalam studi yang dilakukan pada superalloy berbasis nikel (IN718), uji micropillar dilakukan pada suhu 650\u00b0C. Tiga pendekatan beban diterapkan untuk menggali perilaku plastisitasnya. Pilar pertama diuji dengan pembebanan linier kuasistatik, yang menghasilkan kurva tegangan-regangan khas logam: elastis, lalu mencapai titik leleh, diikuti penurunan beban karena slip. Pilar kedua menjalani uji relaksasi beban, di mana displacement ditahan dalam kondisi plastis. Dari sini terlihat bagaimana dislokasi bergerak lebih mudah akibat energi panas, bahkan menunjukkan kecenderungan <em>cross-slip<\/em> dan <em>climb<\/em>. Sementara itu, pilar ketiga dikenai loncatan laju regangan. Hasilnya jelas: semakin tinggi laju regangan, semakin tinggi pula tegangan yang dibutuhkan, menunjukkan adanya sensitivitas waktu dalam mekanisme deformasi.<\/p>\r\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-8767 \" src=\"https:\/\/dynatech-int.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Picture3-300x149.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"519\" height=\"258\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dynatech-int.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Picture3-300x149.png 300w, https:\/\/dynatech-int.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Picture3-18x9.png 18w, https:\/\/dynatech-int.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Picture3-600x297.png 600w, https:\/\/dynatech-int.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Picture3.png 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 519px) 100vw, 519px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Gambar uji micropillar superalloy berbasis nikel (IN718) dengan 3 pendekatan beban berbeda<\/p>\r\n<p>Yang menarik, meskipun ketiga pilar diuji dengan cara berbeda, respons keseluruhannya mirip, dengan tegangan luluh berada di kisaran 500\u2013700 MPa. Namun, justru detail kecil dari uji relaksasi dan loncatan laju regangan itulah yang membuka wawasan lebih jauh mengenai bagaimana dislokasi bergerak di dalam logam pada suhu tinggi.<\/p>\r\n<p>Dari cerita ini, jelas bahwa <strong>nanoindenter dalam uji micropillar<\/strong> bukan hanya sekadar alat ukur kekuatan. Ia adalah jendela yang membuka pandangan kita ke dalam mekanisme paling mendasar dari deformasi material. Dengan teknik ini, peneliti dapat menyusun peta mekanisme deformasi yang mempertimbangkan suhu, tegangan, laju regangan, hingga orientasi kristal.
