Bagaimana kaitannya dengan sifat elastisitas benda? Dan apa persamaan dari modulus Young itu sendiri? Ayo kita simak dan pelajari pembahasan mengenai hal ini. Dikutip dari Young&#8217;s Modulus oleh Jesse Russell dan Ronald Cohn tahun 2012, modulus Young atau modulus elastis adalah ukuran kekakuan bahan elastis dan merupakan besaran yang digunakan untuk mengkarakterisasi bahan. Hal ini berkaitan dengan ukuran tegangan dan regangan suatu benda. Untuk memahaminya mari kita amati grafik hubungan antara tegangan dan regangan di bawah ini.<\/p>\n<p>Grafik tersebut menunujukkan grafik yang linear sampai titik A. Pada daerah ini apabila gaya atau tegangan dihentikan maka benda akan kembali seperti semula. Apabila tegangan diperbesar lagi sampai batas titik B, maka antara regangan dan tegangan tidak linear lagi. Jika tegangan diperbesar lagi melampaui batas titik B, maka benda tidak akan kebali ke dimensi semula. Jika tegangan diperbesar lagi sampai benda mencapai pada titik C, akhirnya benda akan patah. Perbandingan tegangan dan regangan pada grafik yang linear tersebut adalah konstan, besarnya konstanta disebut dengan modulus elastis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Secara garis besar, Modulus Elastisitas adalah perbandingan antara tegangan dan regangan dari\u00a0 suatu\u00a0 benda.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Modulus elastisitas dilambangkan dengan E dan satuannya Nm-2. Modulus elastisitas.<\/p>\n<p>Atau dapat juga, <strong>Modulus Elastisitas didefinisikan sebagai beriku<\/strong>t; Selama gaya F yang bekerja pada benda elastis tidak melampaui batas elastisitasnya, maka perbandingan antara tegangan (\u03c3) dengan regangan (\u03b5) adalah konstan.<\/p>\n<p>Bilangan (konstantan) tersebut dinamakan modulus elastis (E).<\/p>\n<p>Jadi, <strong>modulus elastis merupakan perbandingan antara tegangan dengan regangan yang dialami oleh suatu benda.
