Our entry-level inverted microscopes, the VT Series, are ideal for examining tissue cultures, microbes, and other live specimens in petri dishes and culture bottles. The six models in the table below offer you a choice of viewing heads, objective magnification, mechanical stage, condenser working distance, and brightfield or phase contrast techniques.
VIEWING HEADS
Available with standard binocular heads or trinocular heads for photomicrography, 30 ° inclined eyetubes with adjustable diopter settings and interpupillary distance, 360 ° rotatable.
OBJECTIVES
Infinity corrected, long working distance S. Planachromats standard for brightfield or phase contrast.
STAGE
180mm x 200mm fixed surface. An attached mechanical stage with 112mm (X) by 72mm (Y) movement, drop-down coaxial controls, and plate holder is either standard or optional, depending on model. Slide, chamber, and petri dish holding plates of various sizes available separately.
CONDENSERS
Brightfield models come with an extra-long working distance condenser with NA 0.30 and working distance of 55mm. Some models also come with a long working distance condenser with NA 0.55 and working distance of 21mm. Phase contrast models come with a long working distance phase condenser with NA 0.55, working distance 21mm, and pre-centered phase annuli in sliding mount. |
